Man arrested after alleged hit and run
A man has been arrested after a pensioner was hurt in an alleged hit and run incident.
An 89-year-old man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on the B9113 Forfar to Montrose Road in Angus on Friday.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.
Police have arrested and detained a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident at Forfar at around 7pm.
He is expected to appear at Arbroath Sheriff Court tomorrow.
