Man and dog die in house blaze

A MAN who died in a house fire in Aberdeen was due to celebrate his 43rd birthday.

Kevin Dukes, 42, died in his smoke-filled home in Talisman Drive in Aberdeen yesterday afternoon. His pet dog also died in the fire.

Firefighters who were called to the scene quickly brought the blaze under control and the fire was confined to one room.
