Making sure food is good

A SERIES of events are being held in the Capital to help tackle the usual rise in food poisoning cases which comes with the summer weather and barbecues.

There are around 120,000 extra cases of food poisoning every year during the summer, according to the council.

This year, National Food Safety week will run from 7 to 13 June, with the city's environmental health officers touring schools to advise pupils on food safety and how to prevent food poisoning.
