Major debut for tapestry

THE world's longest tapestry is to go on display at Dovecot Studios, its first exhibition at a major venue.

The Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry, which was created by more than 200 volunteers, will tomorrow go on view to the public at the Infirmary Street venue for the first time since it finished a small tour of the Highlands and Islands.

The exhibition is to run from November 10 to November 25. It will be open from 10.30am to 17.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

Entry to the Battle Tapestry exhibition is 3.50 for adults, 2.50 concession.
