‘Madam’ asks former clients for bail help

A MOTHER who has been accused of running a multi-million-dollar prostitution ring in New York has made an emotional TV plea from behind bars.

Anna Gristina, originally from Kirkliston, appealed for former wealthy clients to help her pay her bail, which has been set at £96,000 by US authorities.

Gristina, 44, is accused of running a brothel for the past 15 years and has been remanded in custody since February.

It is alleged that she charged £1500-a-time for the service of prostitutes.

She has claimed she was running a dating service for married men and has denied one count of promoting prostitution.

When asked in the TV interview about former clients, she said: “If I could reach those people I would ask for help. I would ask that they come forward. It’s my family that suffer.”
