MacGregor to host evening

BROADCASTER and folk singer Jimmie MacGregor is hosting an evening of music and storytelling at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh next month.

Mr MacGregor is one half of the musical partnership that produced the 1960s hit Football Crazy and appeared frequently on television, including The White Heather Club and The West Highland Way.

He was also an award- winning radio, personality scooping gongs for his programme on Radio Scotland MacGregor's Gathering.

Hugely influential in the folk music revival, Jimmie has toured the world appearing in countless venues.

His show Jimmie MacGregor's Gathering of Songs, Stories and Famous Folk runs on February 8, from 7.30pm.
