M8 resurfacing closures mean drivers will need to plan trips

STRETCHES of the M8 between Livingston and Whitburn are to be closed overnight in both directions this week to allow a £100,000 resurfacing programme to take place.

The first closure is tonight, westbound from junction 3 (Livingston). A diversion will be west along the A89 to the Boghall roundabout and then south on the A779, returning to normal at junction 3A (Bathgate). The closure will also apply on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday an overnight closure of the junction 3 westbound slip road will be in place, with the previous diversion for motorists applying.
