M8 car flip driver freed

FIREFIGHTERS had to free a man from his Land Rover which flipped over up to seven times and landed on its roof while travelling on the M8 yesterday evening.

The male casualty was pulled from the wreckage between Claylands and Hermiston Gait.

The accident took place at 7.10pm, and it took up to 40 minutes to free the driver.

He was taken to the ERI with head and neck injuries which are not thought to be serious.
