Love turns ugly as saucy antics land Gleneagles diners in court

A DINER was carried out of Gleneagles Hotel by four police officers after her saucy antics with a millionaire lawyer were reported by appalled residents.

Fiona Males took exception to being asked to leave the five-star hotel and lashed out at the officers who tried to eject her from the premises. The officers were forced to try to shackle Males as she attempted to rescue her lover, property tycoon Philip Anderson, from custody.

Several residents watched as Males, 39, brawled with the four officers, and swore at them and hotel staff.

The police had been called to the hotel after diners had reported being disgusted by the behaviour of Anderson and Males in the hotel's Deseo restaurant.

Staff asked the couple – who had booked a room in the hotel – to stop their explicit tryst but they were met with abuse.

Yesterday at Perth Sheriff Court, Males, of Chalton Road, Bridge of Allan, admitted having conducted herself in a disorderly manner and having refused to leave Gleneagles Hotel on 7 December.

She admitted breaching the peace by swearing, being abusive and running past police officers in an attempt to rescue someone from custody. She admitted struggling with police officers, locking her arms and legs, and refusing to get into a police van.

Sheriff Richard MacFarlane told Males: "On any view this is far from ladylike conduct and you were a real handful for the officers." He fined Males, who was not present in court, 300.

Mr Anderson has already paid a 300 fiscal fine.
