Louise wings it on a visit to Craigmillar

seven-year-old Louise Anne Morrison, from Liberton, had a close encounter with Bob the gyr saker falcon when she visited Craigmillar Castle at the weekend.

Historic Scotland invited people to learn more about falconry as part of a public performance programme.

Centuries ago, hunting grounds at Craigmillar were popular with royalty and nobles. King James V had a hunting lodge nearby and his daughter Mary, Queen of Scots often stayed to hunt, hawk and ride.
