Lottery winner has under a week to claim £3.7m prize

AN UNSUSPECTING multi-millionaire in the Highlands has just days left to claim a lottery jackpot prize.

The winner matched all six numbers in the Lotto draw on Wednesday, 23 September, 2009, but has not claimed the prize of 3,681,197. The ticket was bought in the Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey area, and the winning numbers were 23, 25, 28, 41, 46 and 47.

The ticket holder has until 5:30pm on Monday, 22 March, to claim the prize, otherwise it will go to the Good Causes, adding to the 24 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets since the National Lottery launched in November 1994.

A Lotto spokeswoman said: "Time really is running out for the winner of this amazing prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the last minute to claim the money.

"We're urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding."
