Lothians told to make the most of sun

RESIDENTS across Edinburgh and the Lothians are being urged to make the most of the sunshine this weekend.

Although temperatures were expected to reach 18 or 19C in the area today and tomorrow, Met Office forecaster Helen Chivers said next week wasn't looking quite as pleasant.

She said: "It will turn unsettled next week, with sunshine and showers to start with and temperatures dropping back to the low teens.

Heather Jackson, director of enterprise at the Botanics, said: "Sunshine and a pleasant breeze brought visitors out in droves. By the end of yesterday, the garden welcomed 4500 visitors."
