Lothian pubs best bar none

A DOZEN pubs taking part in the Best Bar None scheme, aimed at keeping out troublemakers, have scooped prizes at an awards ceremony.

The licensed premises from Musselburgh and Dalkeith received the awards, which recognised their involvement in the project.

Senior police and fire officers, members of the licensing board, local councillors, and representatives from the Scottish Business Crime centre were among the audience at the event to recognise their achievements held yesterday at the Power House at the Newtongrange Mining Museum.
