Lost lovebird awaits mate

A LOST lovebird who was rescued from Bathgate Fire Station is still anxiously waiting to be reunited with his mate.

The SSPCA collected Lancelot from the station after he flew down from a window ledge onto a firefighter's finger ten days ago, but he has not yet been claimed by his owner.

Ambulance Driver Connie O'Neill said: "Lovebirds are usually kept in pairs, so not only is he missing his owner, he could be pining for his mate too.

If no-one claims him then we hope that we'll be able to find him a loving new home.
