Looking for a Happit end

THE owners of a former Happit store in Morningside have launched a bid to transform it into a cafe – a month after a similar bid in the city centre failed.

Ashford & Thistle Securities have applied to change the former Happit discount retail store and neighbouring defunct gift shop Scaramouch, at 360-364 Morningside Road, into a cafe.

The move comes after an application by TCS Freehold Investments Ltd to change the former Happit in Shandwick Place into a restaurant failed.
