Look in on stargazing fun

A LIVE stargazing event is to be held at the Royal Botanic Garden.

Astronomers will be on hand as part of BBC Stargazing Live, which will see stargazing activities held across the UK, to offer tips and advice.

No experience or equipment will be necessary.

The free event, which is suitable for all ages, takes place from 4.30pm to 9pm at the John Hope Gateway.

In the case of poor weather, activity cards will be available for all of the family offering advice on building a rocket, photographing the night sky and stargazing using your phone or computer.
