Local round-up: Derby girls are on a roll

THE Capital's roller derby team, the Auld Reekie Roller Girls, will play the Wakey Wheeled Cats at Meadowbank Stadium on February 26.

Zumba class in good shape

AN outdoor Zumba fitness class will be held outside Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre in Moredunvale Place on February 5. The free event, at 1pm, will be led by Joanna Weintritt from Fitness Around The World and Edinburgh Greenspace Trust.

The event is only suitable for those aged ten and above.

Mountaineer lecture hits the heights

BRITAIN'S leading high-altitude mountaineer, Doug Scott, will deliver a lecture on Wednesday at the Pleasance Theatre at 7.30pm.

European art inspires duo's free concert

A FREE concert of music inspired by Italian and German artwork is to be held in Edinburgh.

Currently celebrating their tenth anniversary as a duo, Matthew McAllister, on guitar, and Aisling Agnew, on flute, will be making a welcome return to the National Galleries of Scotland to perform works from the Italian and German baroque.

The Agnew McAllister Duo will be performing at the National Gallery Complex on The Mound on February 3, starting at 6.30pm.

There's fun galore at Fantastic Four exhibition

CRAIGMILLAR Community Arts group has launched its final exhibition in the Be All You Can Be series.

The group has also launched a new site, called www.craigmillarcommunityarchive.org.uk, plus there is a new ongoing group in the community called the Craigmillar Archives Trust.

The latest exhibition, 4F, standing for the Fantastic Four - Fun, Faces, Fashion and Friends, brings together photographs and a painting collaboration.

It finishes next week.
