Local Round-up: Cinema scores new music for silent classic

A LIVE musical score will be played at the Filmhouse to accompany a screening of the classic 1919 Robert Wiene film The Cabinet of Dr Caligari.

The new score will be written and performed by acclaimed silent film accompanists Minima, whose original soundtrack helps emphasise the film's melancholy and grim humour.

The music will be played by a four-piece ensemble of drums, bass, guitar and cello, at the performance on Tuesday, February 22.
