Local News: Tree-planting needs help to take root
The Scottish Woodland Trust wants as many residents as possible to participate in the event on March 4 as part of its More Trees, More Good campaign.
Twelve groups have already agreed to take part at various points in the Capital.

Garden opens for season
The award-winning Dawyck garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens is opening for the season today.
Renowned for its seasonal displays and abundance of exotic and native plants, it is the only garden to hold VisitScotland's prestigious five-star rating.
The garden is open from 10am daily.
Shape up for sculptor
A FREE lecture on the work of artist Karla Black is to be held in the Capital.
Black's sculptural pieces are often made using familiar materials such as face cream, dirt and sugar.
Sarah Lowndes will give the talk at the Gallery of Modern Art on February 7, at 12.45pm.
Health bosses in army move
HEALTH chiefs have met with the army in Edinburgh to improve health care for current and former soldiers.
The army is cutting back its medical services, meaning the health board will have a "greater responsibility" for providing care for servicemen.
Affordable housing plan is welcomed

Hide AdEDINBURGH East Labour MP Sheila Gilmore has welcomed plans for affordable homes on the Quartermile development. Hillcrest Housing Association is to build more than 170 homes for rent on the old Royal Infirmary site.
Ms Gilmore, said: "I'm pleased plans I discussed as housing convener are finally coming to fruition. This will provide a fantastic opportunity for people who need affordable housing in the city centre."
Students collaborate to give sale some sparkle
Events management students from Telford College have collaborated with international jewellery designers to host an exhibition and sales event at the Art's Complex Edinburgh on London Road.
The event, which will run from February 4 to February 13, is timed to coincide with the run up to Valentine's Day.
The exhibition will allow visitors to admire the startling and sparkling creations of seven jewellery designers, including established designer, Bryony Knox.
