Local hero to bear torch

A LIVINGSTON man who has raised almost £100,000 for the Anthony Nolan Trust has been named as an Olympic torchbearer.

Donald Macdonald, who was nominated in recognition of his fundraising and work for the community, will participate in the Olympic Torch Relay on the Kendall to Blackpool leg.

The Anthony Nolan Trust aims to help people with blood cancer or those in need a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
