Lisa’s £6000 gift to kids

A BUSINESSMAN threw a 40th birthday party with a difference for his wife – and raised thousands for a children’s charity in the process.

Richard McCulloch, the managing director of Dem-Master, based in Bathgate, West Lothian, asked family and friends to donate to the Sick Kids Friends Foundation (SKFF) instead of buying presents for his wife Lisa.

The gesture raised £6000 for the charity.

Maureen Harrison, chief executive of the SKFF, said: “I am absolutely delighted to receive this cheque, which makes a huge difference to sick children. It is lovely that Lisa celebrated her 40th birthday to benefit the Sick Kids.”
