Light work for Heather

METEOROLOGIST Heather Reid predicts a major blackout for Scotland later this month – she's urging us all to get involved with Earth Hour 2010.

The eco-campaign is asking homes, businesses and landmarks to switch off their lights for an hour on Saturday, 27 March to highlight climate change.

Heather placed light bulbs on a giant map to show the towns and cities which have already signed up. She said: "Earth Hour is a simple way for people to send a strong message that they care about climate change."
