Light plane in fatal mid-air collision

ONE person is believed to have died after a light aircraft collided in mid-air with another plane above an airport yesterday.

The incident took place near Shoreham Airport, Brighton, West Sussex, at about 4:30pm. One aircraft was said to have crashed on a recreation ground close to the airport, while the second plane landed safely.
