Lifeboat crew bring confused duo home

A LIFEBOAT crew sprung into action when a catamaran with two men aboard came unstuck in a bank of fog between Cramond and Granton in the Firth of Forth.

The Queensferry lifeboat was launched after sailors Scott Finlay and Jordan Turnbull, both from Edinburgh, used a mobile phone to contact the coastguard at about 1.30pm yesterday.

It is understood that the men had become disorientated in the fog after leaving Cramond.

A coastguard spokesman said: "Nothing was going to come a cropper, but they just had no idea where they were. They had been out for a day and were trying to get back to Cramond.

"The Queensferry lifeboat was dispatched and brought them to safety."
