Off licence cheques out

A FORMER off licence is to become a cheque cashing centre.

Cheque Centre Group Ltd has lodged a change of use application for the vacant Haddows unit in Home Street, Tollcross, which closed last year following the collapse of the First Quench chain which owned more than 40 off licences in the capital.

The application comes on the back of separate bids to turn Victoria Wine stores in Morningside and Davidson Mains into a coffee shop and takeaway, respectively.
