Library fraud: man charged

A 32-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with embezzlement after computer equipment worth ten of thousands of pounds allegedly vanished from the National Library of Scotland.

The arrest marks the culmination of a two-month investigation into the alleged fraud.

Bosses at the library on George IV Bridge contacted police after an internal investigation. A police spokesman said: "A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged embezzlement, and he will appear at court at a later date."
