Let them eat cake for charity's sake

TV and radio presenter Grant Stott got caught munching on a few sweet treats as he helped to launch the MS Society's Cake Break at Loopy Lorna's.

The scrumptious event encourages friends, colleagues and families to get together for a few freshly made cakes and a cuppa to raise money for people affected by MS.

Scotland has the highest prevalence of MS in the world, with an estimated 10,500 people affected by the debilitating condition.

Launching Cake Break, Grant called on the public to sign up for their own baking event to help raise vital cash. The nationwide event takes place on May 20.

Through mouthfuls of fairy cake, he said: "I can't think of a better way to spend time with friends and family."
