Leith centre fears remain

LEITH councillors still fear for the future of a community centre that escaped closure, despite city leaders saying they will press ahead with development work.

Education leader Marilyne MacLaren said that 5,404 has already been spent on plans to develop a lift at the Duncan Place Resource Centre.

She also said that planning permission has been obtained for the work at the centre.

Councillor Gordon Munro said: "I fear for the future of Duncan Place Resource Centre."
