Leith can be Hobbit forming

PROCLAIMERS duo Charlie and Craig Reid showed their local loyalty when they popped in to wish Billy Boyd, star of Sunshine of Leith, luck for the show at Festival Theatre.

The play, which features a number of their songs, closes today with performances at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

It follows the highs and lows of main characters Ally and Davy as they return home from the army.

Lead actor and Lord of the Rings star Boyd took time out of his schedule on Thursday to meet pupils from the Leith Academy. The 42-year-old congratulated pupils who have not missed a single class in a year.
