Leisure centre in good shape with award

LOANHEAD Leisure Centre has been named the best leisure centre in Scotland for customer relations.

Quest, the UK Quality Scheme for Sport and Leisure, presented the award following an audit and mystery customer visits.

Councillor Peter Boyes, deputy leader of Midlothian Council and cabinet member for education and communities, said: "The high standards set by the staff team at Loanhead have been recognised by Quest. They've all worked hard to achieve this award.

"It is wonderful that Loanhead has been recognised as providing the best customer relations in a Scottish leisure centre and that the team has excelled and distinguished itself in this way".

Quest has become the recognised leisure industry standard throughout the UK and has endorsement and support from sportscotland.
