Legalising pot 'will not hurt traffickers'

A NEW study says Mexico's drug traffickers are unlikely to lose much profit if California legalises marijuana, as residents of America's largest pot-consuming state prefer to grow their own.

The study by the RAND Drug Policy Research Centre said that means the proposal on the November ballot will little to quell drug gangs' violence.
