‘Legal highs’ warning

A TOP police officer has warned revellers at T in the Park not to risk their lives taking so-called “legal highs”.

The warning came after the death of Portobello teen Alex Heriot, 19, at RockNess, who was understood to have taken the drug Benzo Fury.

Detective chief inspector Alan Cunningham, of the Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency, said: “People are dying through consumption of theses products.” His warning came as it emerged city shop the Apothecary, which was raided in the wake of Mr Heriot’s death, was still selling Benzo Fury.
