Legal challenge for Iceland's ex-leader

Iceland's former prime minister has become the first world leader to be referred to a special court for possible prosecution, on charges that he acted negligently in the lead-up to the country's financial crisis.

Yesterday's parliament vote means former prime minister Geir Haarde will appear before a special court for allegedly failing to prevent the financial crash of 2008.
