Lanarkshire teenager accused of raping pensioner
A TEENAGER is in custody accused of raping a pensioner in her home.
Kriss Strachan, 17, was charged following an alleged assault on an elderly woman in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, on Sunday morning.
He made no plea during his appearance at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday and will return to court on August 5.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on an elderly woman within her home in Bellshill at around 7am on Sunday July 27.”
