Lads' night is a dram come true

stylish men are invited to a special shopping evening at a charity shop renowned for its designer bargains.

Save the Children's Mary's Living and Giving shop in Stockbridge was opened by TV retail guru Mary Portas last November.

To encourage male shoppers through the door, it is holding a lads' night where men can buy designer clothes at cut prices, and enjoy a dram of whisky from sponsors Ardbeg.

The event is a follow-up to a ladies' night which was held at the shop to celebrate London Fashion week, with designer items donated by top British labels.

Manager of the shop in Raeburn Place, Andy Moodie said: "We thought it would be a great idea to put men's fashion first for an evening.

"We've got a top range of men's stock lined up, including Armani, Lacoste, Levi's and Calvin Klein gear."

The event begins at 6pm on Thursday.
