Kuwait: Sheik gives cash to a million citizens

Kuwait's ruler is marking several key anniversaries by handing out £2,200 grants and free food coupons for every citizen in the Gulf nation.

State news agency Kuna reported that Sheik Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah has ordered the gifts for all the estimated one million Kuwaiti citizens.
