Knox murder: teens in court

FOUR teenagers have appeared in court accused of murdering a boy who died in hospital after being stabbed at the weekend.

Christopher Knox, 17, from Crisswell Close in Greenock, was taken to Inverclyde Royal Infirmary after a disturbance in the town's Kylemore Lane at around 10:50pm on Friday.

David Paton and Adam Johnstone, both 16, and David Rice and Sean O'Neill, both 18, appeared at the town's sheriff court yesterday. All four of the accused live in Greenock. They made no plea and were all remanded in custody until their next court appearance.

On Monday a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court charged with murder. He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
