Knife-point rapist faces life-long restriction

A MAN who carried out a knife-point rape on a stranger after sneaking into her Livingston home could face a form of life sentence.

John McKeown's victim was so shocked after the attack that she lost her ability to speak.

McKeown, 22, had been drinking lager and snorting cocaine when he threatened to kill his 40-year-old victim - as well as a nine-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man. McKeown of Deanswood Park, Livingston, previously pleaded guilty to the rape in the early hours of November 6 last year.

Yesterday the Crown called for a risk assessment to be carried out and depending on what the judge decides McKeown could face a form of life-long restriction.
