Knife attack man jailed

A MAN carried out a vicious knife attack on a beauty salon worker just weeks after being released from prison on licence.

Jason Liddle brandished a blade at Fairytails employee Dennis Quinn in what the prosecution claimed was a botched robbery attempt. He stabbed Mr Quinn in the forearm and slashed him above the elbow.

Liddle, 27, from Niddrie, was jailed for seven years yesterday after a jury at the High Court in Livingston found him guilty of repeatedly striking Mr Quinn with a knife on August 30, 2010.
