Kitchin team to open new restaurant

THE team behind Michelin star restaurant The Kitchin has today announced that they are to open a new restaurant.

The new eaterie, named Castle Terrace after the street it is set to be based in, will see Dominic Jack take the reigns as head chef.

He met Tom Kitchin when the pair were training together as commis chefs at Gleneagles.

The new restaurant is due to open in mid-July and will be run by the same management team as the award-winning Leith restaurant. After four years at Gleneagles, Mr Jack honed his skills at Michelin starred Fleur de Sel in Haslemere, before moving to Paris to work at three-star Michelin restaurant l'Arpge. He returned to his hometown of Edinburgh in 2008.
