Killer mother facing extradition over another child death

A MOTHER found guilty of murdering her newborn son today faces an extradition over the death of another infant.

Ineta Dzinguviene, 26, from Lithuania, killed her son Paulius Dzingus hours after he was born on 12 April, 2010.

She appears at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today for an extradition hearing in connection to the death of a baby girl in her homeland.

A Crown Office spokesman said: “Following the execution of a European arrest warrant in connection with an alleged incident in Lithuania, Ineta Dzinguviene will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today for an initial appearance.”

The body of Paulius was found in a holdall in a communal hallway in a block of flats in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

Dzinguviene, who was sentenced to at least 15 years for the “wicked” crime, killed her son by holding a piece of clingfilm over his face and suffocating him.
