Kenyan trio charged with crimes against humanity

Three Kenyans have denied in court any connection to post-election violence in 2007 in which 1,200 people were killed.

Suspended government ministers William Ruto and Henry Kosgey and radio executive Joshua Arap Sang were charged with crimes against humanity, including murder, at the International Criminal Court yesterday.

The ICC has summonsed six top political, government and business officials to appear in court over two days this week in connection with the 2007-8 violence in Kenya between the Orange Democratic Movement and the Party of National Unity.
