'Justice' plea to murder jury

A MURDER jury has been asked to "do justice" and find a man guilty of the brutal killing of a student.

Prosecutor Dorothy Bain QC said Roshan Dantis was capable of such "pre-meditated violence and cruelty" as she delivered her closing speech at the High Court in Glasgow yesterday.

Miss Bain also described the disposal of Khusbu Shah's severed head and hands as "being dumped like pieces of waste".

Indian-born Dantis, 30, is accused of murdering Mrs Shah, 23, a mother of one, with a cleaver at her home in the Dennistoun, Glasgow, last June and later getting rid of her chopped-up remains.

Miss Bain spoke to the jury at the end of a month-long trial.

Defence QC Donald Findlay told the jury that the case against Dantis was circumstantial.
