Junction work under budget

WORK upgrading a motorway junction key to the new Forth crossing was completed two months early and £20 million under budget, the transport minister said.

Keith Brown officially reopened junction 1a on the M9 motorway at Kirkliston
yesterday.

The £25.6 million link is part of a road network for access to the new bridge. It should also improve connections between West Lothian and north-west Edinburgh.

Mr Brown said: “Drivers will now have much improved, motorway-standard connections.”
