Join outdoor challenge to raise funds

Marie Curie Cancer Care is calling for people to sign up to a challenge at Go Ape in Beecraigs Country Park, West Lothian, and raise money for the charity.

The event on May 29 will see participants scale 30ft heights and tackle highwire rope bridges, raising 100 each in sponsorship.

Robbie McIntosh of the charity said: "This is the first time that we've run the zipslide and treetop challenge so we're really hoping that it proves a hit.

"Participants will have the chance to get to grips with the Great Outdoors whilst at the same time raising money for a great cause. Every pound really does count to help us provide free support to patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, so I would encourage any thrill seekers to sign up."
