John saddles up with cycle star Sir Chris

A TEENAGE cyclist was presented with the Chris Hoy Award at the weekend while getting a chance to race with the champion himself.

John Paul, 16, of the City of Edinburgh Racing Club, rode with the Olympic legend at Manchester Velodrome on Saturday.

The pair joined the track event Revolution, which allows future stars the opportunity to race against their senior counterparts.
