He had moved into a new home with his partner, Danni, just a few days earlier. Danni does accountancy work for Ms Rowling.

About 200 mourners attended Mr Toshack’s funeral at Warriston Cemetery yesterday.

As well as Ms Rowling, who lives in Barnton, they included Mr Toshack’s former colleagues from the Marks & Spencer store at the Gyle shopping centre and friends from the David Lloyd leisure club in Corstorphine.
