Jewel and Esk voted a great place to work

JEWEL and Esk College has been voted as one of the best places to work in the public sector.

The college, which has campuses in Edinburgh and Midlothian, came 43rd in a national Best Companies awards.

The first awards appeared in 2007 and this year is the first to contain a Scottish college.

Acting principal Peter Malcolm said: "It was particularly pleasing to see that we scored so highly in the categories of my company, my team and wellbeing."
