It's not easy to play parent

MANY parents in Edinburgh struggle to engage their babies in play, according to new research.

The figures revealed that 52 per cent of those parents who were surveyed in the Capital struggled to find new, exciting ways of spending play time with their children.

The research also found that 45 per cent of the city's mums and dads would like to spend more time playing with their children, but other things often have to come first - such as household chores (36 per cent) and a lack of time (26 per cent).
