It's a Mini adventure at car display

A DISPLAY of eccentric cars is to take place this summer in the Lothians.

The East Lothian Mini Owners Club is planning the event on June 5 at Vogrie Country Park near Dalkeith.

Organisers hope as many as 50 cars will be on display, including around a dozen Minis. Two hot rods will also make the journey to Midlothian, with the club appealing to anyone in the area who has "a car that's a bit different" to exhibit at the event.

A spokesman said: "This promises to be a great day out for all the family, with a good range of classic cars, including a lot of Minis, hot rods, bouncy castle, face painting and many more yet to be confirmed.

"We will be offering pitches for clubs and individuals. There will also be opportunities for businesses and clubs to run fundraising activities of their own."
